Calculates a coverage contour profile for a beam transmitted from a satellite to a target location on Earth.

Namespace: Zeptomoby.OrbitTools.Track
Assembly: Zeptomoby.OrbitTools.Track (in Zeptomoby.OrbitTools.Track.dll) Version: 1.5.0.0 (1.5.0.0)

)

Parameters

sat
Type: Satellite
The satellite that is the beam source.
utc
Type: System..::..DateTime
Time of calculation (UTC).
beamTarget
Type: Site
The beam "boresight" target location.
beamProfile
Type: Zeptomoby.OrbitTools.Track..::..IBeamProfile
Describes the cross sectional shape of the beam.
numPoints
Type: System..::..Int32
The number of contour points to calculate.
closedPath
Type: System..::..Boolean
If true, a list of points that describe a closed path is returned, even if the beam does not fully intersect the ellipsoid model.
kmLoft
Type: System..::..Double
The height of the set of points above the earth ellipsoid model, in kilometers.

Return Value

A list of geodetic points that describe the intersection of a transmission beam and an earth ellipsoid model.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Satellite. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see or .
